A few years ago, CyberPowerPC created a double-PC-in-a-box system called Pro Streamer — one to play games and one to stream them — which was a dream machine for the Twitch set.
But with the latest Thunderbolt capabilities, it’s now possible to easily replicate a lot of that functionality with a laptop and a single Thunderbolt cable. Keith May went hands-on at CES 2025 to demonstrate it.
While both CyberPowerPC machines in this demo are extremely powerful, the software-based setup should work with any two PCs that can handle a Thunderbolt 4 (or better) connection as long as one of them is from CyberPowerPC and has access to its proprietary software.
It’s using Intel’s Thunderbolt Share tech that can do a lot of the same things a remote management system can, except far faster and without significant lag. It’s an interesting implementation, especially when you realize you can remotely control and play the “gaming” system directly from the “streaming” system if you need to.
