The Bugatti Type 59 is regarded by many as the most beautiful Grand Prix car in history because of its outstanding lines but also many details such as the drilled chassis the perfectly shaped aluminum panel over the cockpit and the design of the wheels (referred to as "piano wire wheels") an unprecedented compromise between the Alpax and the wire wheel. The particular construction of the bodywork composed of 2 riveted half-hulls creates a thin ridge. A tonneau cover hides the passenger side. Another specificity of this car is also the 5 angle of the front wheels which was the solution found to improve the turning radius and road holding of the car. This Type 59 Grand Prix chassis #59124 has remained in the very original condition and it is arguably the best surviving example of the model like the black restored model owned by the fashion designer Ralf Lauren. We have reproduce the model as we saw it at the Retromobile in Paris in February 2016.Nicely done in 1/18 scale by Lemans Miniatures this is the 1934 Bugatti 59 Chassis #59124 Road Version in Blue. This is mounted on base and with piano wire wheels. LeMans Miniatures has announced they will return to making static high end resin models. This is a high quality sealed body resin cast model. This model will be mounted on a custom base and a special custom box.
