[FIN][BIZ][5] SaaS platform for improving job interviews - looking for a CTO co-founder.

Hey all! I posted last year about an HR tech product idea that I was validating. I got some great feedback and messages from people at the time - thank you 🙏 The idea has evolved a lot and changed direction, so this is me again, looking for a co-founder with a CTO profile 🤓 Problem space Almost all interviewers think they have above-average interviewing skills, which naturally can't be true. Regardless of what most job interviewers (recruiters and senior employees all the same) think of themselves, people are generally poor judges of talent. There are mountains of evidence suggesting that simple selection algorithms make better hiring decisions based on numbers than experts based on their intuition. Also, scientific evidence support structured interviewing over the most commonly used (and quite unreliable) "free talk method". Even recruiters that often conduct interviews daily don't bother to prepare properly and instead trust their gut, which usually leads to poor judgment and bias. Data-driven companies, such as everyone's favorite example Google, usually do the selection pretty well, and that is why they tend to end up with happy applicants and highly qualified employees. "Professional interviewers" such as organizational psychologists that conduct assessments for high-impact candidates (often charging 5-10k € per evaluation) use structured interviewing and often spend an hour preparing for a single interview and several for writing a report about it. Companies pay for these because they can trust the evaluation quality. Solution space I am building a Saas platform with which anyone can conduct high-quality job interviews while making candidates enjoy the interviews more as well. The MVP is quite a simple platform for creating evidence-based job interview templates, guiding the interviewer during the interview situation, and comparing candidates. Instead of the 5-10k € that companies pay for professional candidate evaluations, companies can evaluate candidates with a great selection process in-house, paying a monthly subscription fee for my platform. Current status For the past few months, I've been doing a lot of validation work on the idea. I've interviewed industry experts and customer personas and ran an online questionnaire to increase my understanding of the problem space. I have a growing email list of 40+ people (a few new subscribers every week with 0 work) and about 40 people lined up for beta testing as soon as the MVP is ready. Tomorrow, I am starting in Finland's most prestigious startup incubator, which will last for about 6 months and help me connect with potential investors and partners and improve my skills as a founder. The co-founder/CTO role The MVP is basically designed and ready on Figma, but even though I can code a bit with React/Node, I lack the technical skills to actually create it and make it secure and scalable. In essence, I'm looking for a technical partner to share the company and startup life with. You should have good experience building full-stack web applications. I'm open to all stacks but would prefer either JavaScript stack or JavaScript/Python (due to sciency stuff in the future) stack because this would allow me to contribute on the front end as well. However, you as the CTO own the technology vision, so I'm flexible. You're the expert! Your responsibility would be everything regarding the technology side. I'd be serving you as the "CEO/Product Owner". I'm the industry expert so I can probably tell pretty accurately what we should build, while you'll always know how it should be built. Next steps If you're interested, I'd love to hear a bit more about you, so feel free to message me here. I'll share the landing page and more details about the project, and if you're interested and your background matches what I have in mind for the role, let's schedule some time to chat and get to know each other. Looking forward to hearing from you! submitted by /u/kops212 [link] [comments] https://www.reddit.com/r/cofounder/comments/m55wop/finbiz5_saas_platform_for_improving_job/
