Watchou - Remote React Developer (must be happy to learn Angular) Part Time (Minimum 10 p/week) Compensation: A percentage of the company shares on incorporation on successful completion of a probationary period. Company Description Watchou is building a creator-friendly video and stream sharing platform, creating a direct pipeline from artist to fan. We're addressing an industry shift in power from institutions to individuals by building a platform for creators to make a sustainable living. We've already got 200+ people on our waiting list for when the MVP is built, and fully expect this will sky rocket. The Job We're looking for a React Developer to help us clean up a React project and convert it into GraphQL from REST. Once done with that we'll teach you Angular & NgRx, and move you on to delivering features as the platform matures. The Skills Required - React - GraphQL Requests and/or HTTP Requests - Git How You'll Work We're working in 2 week sprints via an Agile Methodology via Jira. You'll be picking up tickets throughout the sprint, completing them, slapping them up for a code review/merge request via BitBucket, and then moving on to your next task. You'll also be involved with chatting with the team via Discord and collaboration on various ideas that could help the business. The First Task We've got an existing web app built in React, with HTTP Requests. We need this migrated to GraphQL requests. If you decide, in partnership with myself, that this is too big a task, then we will rebuild in Angular over the space of a couple of weeks. The goal is to get this turned around within 1-2 weeks from today (17th July). Requirements - 1 Year commercial experience minimum (2-5 years is ideal) - Based in either EU or US based. - Fluent in English - Ability to have Discord phone calls to discuss tickets (we don't expect you to be on this full time, so we'll arrange these around your day job) - Minimum age of 18 (due to the potential nature of the content) - 10 Hours per week minimum (ideal 10 - 15 hours). ​ How To Proceed Send me a message ideally with a CV/portfolio/link to Github if you have one.
