Hey everyone, I'm glad that this subreddit exists. I'm based in Germany. I am building a non-profit organization on the side and I'm looking for a non-technical/technical co-founder(s). // This is a non-profit organization. Every organization expense is covered by me. No team member/volunteer will get compensation/salary. I do this to do something good and to give back. It will remain non-profit. // About the organization: I'm building a non-profit organization that wants to democratize social donating and improve its transparency. Two major issues with donating are a lack of transparency in where funding goes into and a steep gradient between how much money is used for administrative cost centers and how much money is used for the actual purpose, to make this world a better place. We want to lower those transparency and impact issues for anyone to make donating more enjoyable and trackable. While solving this problem is bigger than only what we are offering, we strongly believe that one of the foundations to solve this, is a fully integrated web-based solution - be it around information gathering, collective information transparency, funding and money history tracking, independent control in money management and much more. Our first version collects and manages approximately 250-350 NGOs from all over the world. The focus lies on Africa, Asia & Latin America. We launch in late September 2021. The following stage will conclude payment processing integrations as well as trackable money management integrations. Our culture: We are a fully remote team and do not track working hours. Everyone is a volunteer. We do this out of intrinsic values to give something back and to do something good. Similarly, your role and responsibilities are reviewed on a regular basis. As we expect to grow significantly in the future, you can expect opportunities to grow with us as well. We're building a culture of mutual trust, openness, and strong ownership by each individual. When you join us, we put together a development plan for every new joiner to ensure you continue developing professionally! This applies especially to younger candidates! I want to make sure that you learn the most out of this experience (this includes networking, get insight in an early stage organization etc.) About myself: I am 20 years old. Yes, I am young. But I already gained a lot of professional insights in the last few years. I co-founded my first startup at age 18 directly after school. Failed it after 1 1/2 years. Took my lessons and got into tech. Currently in 2 startups. On the one side, I'm employed by an early-stage startup in San Francisco. First employee, only non-founder executive, became the only non-founder C-Level at age 19. We're raising our first big round in fall 2021. On the other side, I co-founded another NPO in the Media/News-area. Joined as a co-founder & COO in April 2021. Scaled the team from 4 to 27 people within 1 1/2 months. Everyone is a student, but every team member is a full-time intern (yes, it's not paid, but for their CVs, it sounds better than a volunteering position). I was awarded for outstanding potential, academically and business-wise. We are advised by multiple pretty successful people with backgrounds in Venture Capital & Startups (I am also trying to get some ex-consultants, but let's see about that). Not that we need it, but I want to provide as many benefits as possible for each volunteer. This includes networking benefits as mentioned previously. What I'm looking for: I would like someone motivated who is passionate about social issues, problems and how to make this world a better place. This is the main priority for me. Everything else can be learned or is of secondary importance. I don't care about your age, your degree, your experience etc. I do this for one reason, and that is to give back. I totally know that this is nothing for everyone. Ideally, you should have your main priorities, as I do as well. Accountability, ambition, smartness, and reliability is important for me too. I strongly respect your work-life balance and that you have your main business/job. But, there still has to be some effort on your side. I know what I want to do in this world, as you should as well. Is there one thing in particular that interests you or that you want to do? Cool, I need help everywhere! You're interested? Awesome! DM me, or comment below!
