Hi! My name is Sid and I am CPA with around 10 years of accounting and finance experience. I work in NYC and have pretty much focused my career around tech startups backed by VC/PE. The problem (simplified:) Over the past 10 years I have come to the realization that accountants are heavily reliant on spreadsheets to complete routine tasks. The solution (simplified:) While spreadsheets have come a long way (VBA macros and third party support) most workflow and processes remain manual and fairly technical for most non-technical people to use and understand. As such, my vision is to create a company that produces world class accounting software for accountants that is easy to use, speeds up workflows, and is affordable. What I am looking for: I am looking to onboard a CTO / co-founder (preferably fullstack) that can help me bring this vision to reality. Ideal person is located close to NYC (NYC/LI/JC etc), has at least 5-7 years of software development experience (and some people management experience). Where I am with the Company: In terms of where I am with the company- I have created a prototype in MS Excel, detailed workflow of one independent module, detailed specifications, commissioned a wireframe, and entered into an agreement to have the first module developed (PHP). In the initial stages, the expectation from the CTO will not be actively involved in coding but project manage with third party developers to and make decisions that will impact the long term vision of the product. In the mid-later stages, the CTO will be responsible to build out and manage the tech team (engineer, product, etc). I am plugged into the VC scene in NY and see the logical next steps of the company to raise a seed round to accelerate the growth. I am currently actively working on building out a team, identifying potential advisors and working on my pitch. If you are interested please DM me with some information about yourself and I will get back to you!
