Hi there, I co-founded a startup in 2019 with a mission to redefine what senior means and close the 13-year gap between US healthspan, age 65, and life expectancy, age 78. We connect seniors over diverse virtual experiences in a global community, including fitness classes, virtual tours, live concerts, workshops, etc. All of our experiences are either offered live or in a watch party format with live participants to boost socialization. We are building a community platform that includes other features that allows them to expand their personal connections deeper. We are targeting various markets, including B2B - senior living communities, B2B2B/C - other companies targeting both senior living communities and seniors at home, as well as D2C - seniors living at home. We have paying customers and established partners in 2 of the 3 channels and we are now looking for a Marketing Co-founder to join us and lead our marketing strategy. Because we are targeting seniors, the market is quite niche. However, we have done a lot of user research and have a good idea of which direction we want to go in. Coming on board, there is a lot of information and research - the main job of work is putting together a cohesive marketing strategy that will include digital, print, ads, and partnerships (lots of ideas already in place). A little bit about the current co-founders: I am a business/product professional. Previously I founded an agriculture technology startup in Zambia and led it to 30,000 unique users, paying customers, and secured GBP 1.4 million in funding. I currently consult with startups supporting with design, product, operations, and partnership development while building our current start-up. I lead our offshore development team and all things business. My co-founder is my 68-year-old mom, who is a senior fitness professional with over 15 years of experience and deep connections in the industry. She serves as the face of our brand and leads our senior class programs. We are in negotiations with an investor for a seed round of $120K which should be closed by the end of August. I can release more details after that time. I am very flexible to discussing the equity/compensation arrangement. We expect to close some large B2B2B deals towards Nov/Dec of this year (discussions already in place), at which time I would expect all co-founders to start taking a salary. If you are interested or just want to learn more, send me a DM. More than happy to chat further! submitted by /u/ubsoph [link] [comments] https://www.reddit.com/r/cofounder/comments/owgj21/usabiz8_startup_with_paying_customers_looking_for/
