Hi, I ran an e-commerce business from 2005-2018. The business sold digital goods for MMO games and gift cards with a focus on mobile payments. I started this in middle school at the age of 15. In 2018, I finally sold the business, and it was a difficult decision. Since then I haven't had a great idea to follow up on (you can see some ideas in my reddit post history). The thing is now I'm 30 years-old and I want to get busy again. I know that e-commerce agencies work (they are like the bakeries of the internet) and I personally have many years of experience working with single developers, agencies and development sweatshops. I propose to start a new agency, possibly remote-first, try to build great products for our clients and help them succeed all around. In the end I believe when you're doing your own thing, especially if you're not alone, you build a future for yourself and your passive income will at one point be way more than your pay check as an employee. I've been offered positions as Sales Manager and Project Manager, but I'd definitely prefer to build my business. The first step would be to get our first client. Here we could try a strategy of offering a below market price, to get a first reference and recommendations. This good price could also be limited to a smaller project, after which the client pays the regular rate. One potential strategy for later would be to hire team leads from US/Europe, and for menial tasks have developers in a low-wage country. I think this could be a lot of fun, especially getting the processes right in a remote company, for example, so that everyone is in the loop. If anyone is interested, DEV or BIZ background, please send me a pm submitted by /u/nearmint90 [link] [comments] https://www.reddit.com/r/cofounder/comments/pskeri/gerbiz10_ecommerce_agency_seeking/
