[Meta] Rules Updated to reflect NO THIRD PARTIES OR VENDORS HAVE EVER BEEN ALLOWED TO REPLY OR BE HERE.

I just responded to a lot of spam by the same sort of people who are trying to create reddit accounts for third parties that identified themselves as vendors seeking customers here in some of their response comments. This is not allowed. This has never been allowed. This has always been a violation of rules #3 and #10. Now it also a rule violation of #23. And just for safe measure, rule #24 now exists to show I mean business. I did not want to make rule #24 or #23. But I see no other way to stop the spam and make sure people stay in their lane; if you can think of a better way to make sure accounts have no excuse let me know. I really want to be fair and balanced, as all things should be. But I'm happy to snap anybody who breaks the rules. I am utterly sick of the people who attack this community and try to leech off of it. Third parties trying to drum up business here are just scammers and should be treated by the community as hostile, as we do not want them here. Its good that this community is getting bigger, and I welcome all of you to the community if you come here as you are, your authentic self, as an individual person and not as a representative for a company trying to get customers, as who you are, in your home country, but not as part of a third party company seeking to be a vendor as that has never been allowed. This community has never been about companies helping cofounders, its about cofounders working together to make a startup. Not Vendors. Vendors are bad. They increase risk. They are not allowed here. NO THIRD PARTIES ARE ALLOWED HERE AT ALL. NO THIRD PARTY COMPANIES SHOULD POST HERE AT ALL. ANY ATTEMPT TO COME HERE AS A THIRD PARTY COMPANY IS EXPLICITLY AGAINST THE RULES AND WILL GET YOU BANNED. Also, If your not legally able to live and work in a country referenced in a post, then you should not be commenting on it or trying to spam it with your begging. We sometimes get people from one country spamming on threads when in reality nobody in that same country can legally work in a country referenced by an OP. Other times, nobody in that country can legally own property in that other country. It just adds noise because no matter how much that person wants it, they cant legally contribute or help build up a company that they can not legally work for or is in a country that they cant legally own property in. So to protect /r/cofounders, this rule is now also strictly enforced. submitted by /u/honestduane [link] [comments] https://www.reddit.com/r/cofounder/comments/qmn9sa/meta_rules_updated_to_reflect_no_third_parties_or/
