[USA][TECH][7] Tech founder looking to team up with another tech cofounder to build a trading bot.

Problem: Before computers, most people use to be institutional investors and a few would make charts manually, calculate indicator values and do trading based on technical indicators. Soon big financial companies started taking leverage of computing to rapidly calculate technical indicators and made huge profits In 2022, we are at the stage where these technologies are reaching in the hands of retail traders/investors. We now have websites like trading view providing plethora of technical indicators, almost all major exchanges provide there api to create limit/market order, etc. It is humanly not possible to monitor all indicators and buy/sell manually. I am building an automated trading bot. Eg: A retail trader will just let the bot know that they are interested in amzn/usd goog/usd etc and if any of these pairs MACD is greater than a certain value then buy the asset automatically. Similarly there can be automated conditions to sell too. This is a very simplified example to showcase how without doing anything a retail investor can be active in the market through an automated trading bot which were probably only in the hands of few big financial firms 1 or 2 decade ago. My opinion is that going forward this will be the new normal for retail trading. If we get enough funding and we are able to generate enough liquidity then my long term plan is to convert this into an exchange rather than depending on other exchanges via their api, the real money will always be in the exchange. What all has been built: I have a working prototype of grid bot and dca bot. Everything is in aws. I have build a very basic android app which i use for testing. It has register/login feature, add exchange, create new bot, watch bot trades. Things like, setting up jwt based authentication, creating infra in aws like fargate service, dynamo db, dynamo db table design, pipeline setup, etc is done. What am I looking from my co-founder? I have realized that I need someone to own the UI part. I am thinking of discarding the development of android app and creating a flutter2 app to target android ios and web through 1 code base. I would need some help in backend development (java) in testing. Moral support and direction to procure funding if needed. Competition: There are already some players like 3commas but this is a very big and very new market and there is still a lot of innovation to happen. Currently 3commas has $50 paid membership and arround 10-20k paid members so you can do the math of opportunity. submitted by /u/sec_c_square [link] [comments] https://www.reddit.com/r/cofounder/comments/rx1u6b/usatech7_tech_founder_looking_to_team_up_with/
