WHY + WHAT WE'RE BUILDING We've planned many trips together, and every time it's a arduous process involving many tools, from Instagram, Yelp, Google, Google Maps, to Google Sheets to log the itinerary. We want to overhaul the travel planning process to make it easy and fun, through an app and a companion website. We're focused on building a strong brand around curated recommendations and also automating the itinerary generation process, generating an ideal itinerary based on inputs from the user. THE PROJECT We're pre-seed! We have a proof-of-concept built on a no-code platform (by us), have conducted 20+ user interviews, and are ready to raise our friends & family and start building out the MVP. We also have completed the branding, which we think is key to helping the app stand out from some utilitarian competitors in the space. Competitors also don't have itinerary-building capabilities, so we're focused on building out our defensible features. US We're two e-comm execs with 10+ years combined experience building and scaling brands (20+ years combined work experience). I focus on strategy and analytics, my co-founder focuses on marketing. We're also ex-strategy consultants so are used to juggling different skillsets and priorities and used to learning new functions/topics. We're super passionate about the space and are excited to get this thing up and running! We believe strongly in the importance of having a strong, fun team - we will be building a team of people who love a hard problem to solve, are open to new ideas, are always looking to improve themselves, and don't take themselves too seriously - we love to have fun! YOU Looking for someone to lead the tech side of things, ideally someone with experience in the travel space or the logistics / scheduling space. Of course looking for full-stack, but could go either way on specialization as both the back-end and front-end are important (and can supplement with other talent).
