LOCATION: San Jose/ Los Angeles I've been working on making a better freediving computer Since early 2021 and I am at the point where I'm running into the edge of my current technical expertise. Learning how to write good firmware and developing an Android/ IOS App in flutter for my project is exceeding my bandwidth and bringing someone else could speed things up and make the project a whole lot more fun. About me: I received my undergraduate degree in electrical engineering in Fall 2020, I'm passionate about freediving, and I love hardware. I'm currently located in San Jose, but I am open to folks in either LA or SF. Both have a strong freediving community that we can work with to get feedback and improve the computer. What is the product? A freediving computer that talks to you via bone conduction, DM for link to website as this subreddit does not allow links from outside reddit. Where is the product at? I'm on my 3rd electronics iteration and 5th enclosure iteration V1 - won second place at makeMIT: DM for link V3: DM for link I've been personally using my dev unit for the last 4 months of freediving without reliability issues I've done user testing with 15 x freedivers from brand new divers to world champions. Feedback is mixed, but the consensus is that an audio based freediving computer fills a niche that is currently in need of hardware I'm looking for someone who can help me with the following: Over the air firmware updates (OTA) over BLE from Android and IOS devices A functional IOS + Android App Firmware development - I can do this, but if you are interested, that's a plus Testing in the water (I can do this as well, but it would be more fun to work with someone who is also a freediver) submitted by /u/Ggalisky [link] [comments] https://www.reddit.com/r/cofounder/comments/s48ht3/usatech2_seeking_a_technical_cofounder_to_help/
