The app in a nutshell Plan, track, and tweak your training program like a pro. Plan out training phases, schedule weekly targets, and use progressions in your workouts. Why I'm building it As a personal trainer, I was not happy with the apps available for tracking workouts. This included apps for end users, and apps for trainers to train their own clients. They weren’t the easiest to use, and always had features missing that I REALLY needed. Like adding progressions into a workout. So I started to make my own app with a no-code solution. It started as just a tool to manage client programs. But then I realized that this would be amazing for everyday people to use. Now, the focus is to create a workout tracker that will allow users to manage their workout program like a pro. Where the app is now I've built a functional no-code prototype. The program builder works great, and it has a workout tracker to track sets/reps/etc. There are also other features like tracking weight, exercise history, and creating custom exercises/progressions. While functional, the performance isn’t great, and it's missing a lot of backend power due to no-code limitations. At this point, to make this a reality, I need a technical cofounder, investment, or both. Current Traction Right now, I have had 80+ sign ups on the beta no-code app. I’ve also discussed this with some peers in the fitness industry and they are very excited about the potential of the app. Monetization The plan is to be a Freemium model. There will be basic features available for free, and “Pro” features available for a subscription of $5-$10. Why is this different to other workout trackers The biggest difference is the program builder. Unlike other apps, I can create a program and plan out phases, schedule weekly targets, and put progressions into workouts. Other apps either provide premade programs only, or let you create workouts without the ability to plan out a program. I want to create an app that will allow someone to manage their fitness program like a pro. But they don’t have to be a pro to use it. There will also be premade programs created by pros that users can add to their library. Another note: pros in the industry use software like Trainerize or PTDistinction to train their clients. My goal was to not only allow end users to manage their programs as well as these apps allow trainers to manage their clients programs, but improve upon the program building capabilities of these apps. For example, you can't swap exercises while building a workout in Trainerize. You can with my app. What I can bring to the team I have 8+ years of industry knowledge and experience in fitness. As an independent trainer I have experience with marketing and sales. I can also handle design of the app, and help with the structure (having made it in no-code already, I’ve already solved some tricky design challenges). I also have 3 years of operations and business management experience from my time managing a local fitness company. Who I’m looking for A developer who is experienced in flutter/dart/firebase or similar (this will be made into android and iOS apps). Someone who is interested in equity. I cannot currently pay a salary, hence looking for a cofounder. Ideally, you are into fitness. This is not required, but I think it would be cool to have someone who is also passionate about fitness. If you are interested, please send me a DM with some info about yourself, and any questions you may have. submitted by /u/StrongbyBodyweight [link] [comments] https://www.reddit.com/r/cofounder/comments/s9gg4x/usabiz8_fitness_coach_seeks_technical_cofounder/
