About Me Hey there! I've been working as a full-stack software engineer in the world of ERP software for the last 17 years. During that time, I've experienced just about everything the company does and have a vast understanding of advantages and disadvantages they have in the marketplace. At this point in my career, I'd like to try and start something on my own and am looking for a co-founder or possibly two if we have complementary skill sets. The Project & Where I'm At After having a conversation with a friend of mine, he revealed that his company has come across no ERP software that caters to their specialized field. While I am very skeptical of that claim, it seems they have at least done some amount of due diligence and are having a hard time finding something that meets their needs. My intent is to let them drive the initial software specification for the ERP suite after the MVP. I am currently in the process of building out the MVP which will just be CRM functionality. I have been coding non-stop in my free time for about 10 months now and I'd say I'm maybe 30% of the way to having something that will generate revenue. CRM is pretty straightforward and it's really easy money to get the ball rolling (just look at the amount of options -- you'll have to google it yourself since I can't post links -- there's definitely room to compete on price/features). The Technology Stack I would be open to modifying or re-writing on a new stack for the right person with the right expertise, but currently it is as follows: Jira + Confluence, Github, CircleCI, Node + Express, Mongoose + MongoDB, React + Redux Tookit, Material UI. Who I'm Looking For First, I'd like to say that I don't think the perfect co-founder(s) exists that would meet 100% of this criteria, but in the ideal world, I'd like to check as many of these boxes as possible: Has a full-time job or is financially stable enough that you won't be completely ruined if, for whatever reason, the project doesn't pan out and ends with $0 revenue. Has the free time to dedicate on a regular basis. I average 25 hours a week and would expect roughly the same of a co-founder. 7+ years experience doing front-end, back-end, or full-stack development with professional experience in a modern web stack. Experience of building a SaaS product from the ground up, including building CI/CD pipelines, building out unit testing, building an internal and end-user API, handling a multi-tenant database, and best practices regarding the software architecture in their respective area (front-end, back-end). Experienced in the world of ERP, CRM, or highly customizable software. Lives in/near Denver, CO. Motivated not just by profit, but also by solving complex problems and having pride in the code you commit! I would rather someone who takes their time to write (and re-write) bulletproof code than someone who slops down a thousand lines of uncommented spaghetti that we have to deal with later. Questions? Concerns? Feel free to reach out! submitted by /u/kuolema [link] [comments] https://www.reddit.com/r/cofounder/comments/s9unak/usacotech17_looking_for_experienced_modern_web/
