[AUS][TECH][2] Seeking a co-founder to grow our real estate property screening platform.

Following a previous post from ~5months ago (pasted at the end of this post). We are now a team of 4; CEO, CTO and 2x advisors. The MVP has successfully been built and we have continued to verify and validate the product and market-gap with various stakeholders. We now need someone to join the team and cover all things related to ‘growth’. This is likely to cover a whole host of activities (social media, brand awareness, community engagement, etc), all geared towards a) building real estate listing numbers on the platform, and b) bringing users to the platform. As with all existing team members, this would be an equity-only arrangement with specifics to be discussed privately. Anyone interested, please PM me. // Our proposition is that for investors, a property search based on location is ineffective as it a) assumes that the investor knows where they want to invest in the first place, and b) limits the results of any searches to a limited geographic range – usually a couple of suburbs. Instead, a more effective approach is to start with ‘how much do you want to invest?’, followed by ‘what return are you looking for?’. Note, there are many other criteria which we have as well to help investors identify their properties. Our approach is location-agnostic and presents a set of results based on the unique criteria provided by the user. So far we have: - A prototype website (based on dummy data) - 4 distinct and validated client profiles - The next model iteration based on feedback from initial client profile conversations (based on dummy data) - Identified the necessary public/private data required to go-live Current focus is to continue engagement with data custodians, leading to eventual partnership and release of data feeds via API into our platform. What we need is a CTO who can come on board, take the reins on the existing prototype and leverage what already exists to plug-in necessary data sources and then expand and iterate on the product offering (from a tech perspective) based on the needs of our clients. Other useful context: - This platform intends to be a freemium service to be begin with, with a likely transition to a subscription model once sufficient user momentum has been gained. - There are currently two main players in this market, both of whom have done little more than digitise the classified ads from newspapers many years ago. Between the two of them, they generate ~AU$1B in revenue per year from their listing/advertising business. - A review of virtually all Australia property search platforms confirms that the entire industry is built on a ‘where do you want to buy?’ model. We believe there is an amazing opportunity to disrupt the industry and create a mindset shift to location-agnostic platforms which cater to investors.
