Problem Satellite communication is a complicated process typically involving a middle man that handles the interaction with ground stations. Major communication providers have to manage physical infrastructure inhibiting their ability to grow their global footprint. They rely on their customers to fill out forms, don't have an easy to use API or user interface, all resulting in time lost. Ultimately costing the customer more money. Solution One stop Ground Station as a Service for satellite communication and mission control. It will have a global network of ground stations provided by cloud vendors AWS and Azure which will grow as the cloud grows. Customers are guaranteed contact reliability, data integrity, security, and analytics of the entire process. It will be an API first paradigm with a simple, easy to use UI that customers can interact with to schedule their contacts, build data pipelines, configure data destinations, and notifications. About Me Space nerd located in Denver, CO who has been in DevOps / Site Reliability / Software Engineering for 10+ years. Heavily focused in AWS and technologies like Serverless / Docker. I've worked in varying sized companies anywhere from startups to large enterprises. Very much a team player and looking to solve large problems. Potential Cofounder None of this is set in stone but ideally someone who is in the Space industry and is based in an area where Space has a large presence (USA | CO, WA, CA, VA, TX). I would love someone who has an engineering background (i.e. mechanical, RF, aerospace, software). But generally, you LOVE space and are passionate about becoming the primary provider for satellite communication! Whats Next? I'm wrapping up some final market research, getting Figma designs created, and working on a pitch deck that I can send to investors. DM if you're interested. Looking forward to chatting. submitted by /u/houlihandy [link] [comments] https://www.reddit.com/r/cofounder/comments/sdagqi/usacotech10_technical_cofounder_for_space_startup/
