Context:
I am looking for a partner to build a profitable suite of smaller products and apps on marketplaces. At this point I am at a full time job and would prefer to do it on a side on a smaller scale. I have secured the first customer and would like to focus on growth and sales but can also help with front-end work if needed and potentially hire more help. I am product manager, but spent 6 years in commercial and growth roles prior.
Product:
The first app is a discord bot that takes a user prompt and submits data to another tool with a public API.
Market:
Businesses running communities on discord
Partner:
Someone with easy-going personality with whom I can hop on a journey to build multiple calm businesses. Here is a manifesto that I subscribe to: - Profitability and sustainability over revenue and growth - Sane working hours and asynchronous communication over the grind and default real-time meetings - Building for people and employees over building for investors - Finding a niche over winner takes all
I think this will be difficult and a long journey, but I know with the right focus and effort it can lead to autonomy and more sustained lifestyle than general startups with the need of exponential returns.
Ideally you would be a fullstack dev with several years of experience and building web apps.
Stack:
Overall, doesn't really matter but cool if you are working with typescript, nextjs, prisma, trpc, tailwind.
