2025 might just be the year of the OLED monitor, among many other things. I wouldn’t call any of these vibrant upgrades “affordable” yet, but they’re certainly a lot less expensive than they used to be. Take this 34-inch Asus ultrawide OLED gaming monitor, for example, which is now $749.99 on Amazon, a solid $150 off its list price.
For that amount, the Asus ROG Swift PG34WCDM offers a screen in the semi-standard 3440×1440 ultrawide format with a sweet OLED panel for amazing colors and perfect contrast. In terms of gaming prowess, it has a 240Hz refresh rate and a 0.03-millisecond response time, fast enough for all but the twitchiest of esports competitors.
It’s also packing a few extras that make it worth considering above cheaper entries in this form factor, like USB-C video with up to 90 watts of power delivery, which should be enough even for a beefy gaming laptop. There’s also an integrated KVM switch for multi-device connections on two DisplayPort 1.4 and one HDMI 2.1 ports. It also has a more dramatic 800R curve, though that’s probably a matter of taste.
It’s a good deal to be sure, but currently back ordered on Amazon — I’m seeing it as “usually ships within 1 to 2 months” here in Pennsylvania. So keep in mind that it might take a while to get to you… and there might be an alternative that pops up in the meantime.
