The Acer Nitro V is consistently up there as one of the best-selling gaming laptops, mainly because it packs hearty gaming parts into a low-priced package. Today, Target is offering one of its most affordable variants for even less, giving you a Ryzen 7 7735HS octa-core processor, 16GB of RAM, and an RTX 4060 GPU for just $624.99.
This version of the 15-inch laptop is refurbished, but according to the listing, it comes with Acer’s standard 1-year warranty (which means that Acer did the refurbishing). For $305 off its original retail price, I’d say that’s a pretty good trade-off. The base 16GB of RAM and 1TB SSD are already pretty generous for any gaming laptop under a grand, but you can easily upgrade both with just a screwdriver. A 32GB RAM setup and even more storage should be fairly cheap.
The Nitro V makes a pretty good student or media production laptop too, thanks to its 1080p screen (144Hz refresh rate for smooth gaming) and plentiful ports. You get USB-C, double USB-A, and full-sized HDMI and Ethernet on the left, plus one more USB-A on the right.
Just don’t expect the battery to last too long, especially if you’re gaming. You’ll also need to lift with your legs because it isn’t exactly svelte at 4.6 pounds. You can read our full review here, but keep in mind that the review is for an Intel design with lower specs.
Again, the Acer Nitro V is a popular gaming laptop model, so a deep discount like this one means that stock might not last very long. Get an order in quickly if you’re ready.
