The Acer Swift X 14 is a lot of laptop. This particular model has a 16-core Intel processor, an Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU, 16GB of RAM, and topping it all off a gorgeous high-res, high-refresh OLED display. Today, B&H is offering it for $949.99, which is an amazing $550 off the retail price.
This 14.5-incher sits somewhere between a premium thin-and-light laptop and a dedicated gaming laptop, with tons of power packed into a chassis that’s still fairly portable at 3.3 pounds. The 2880×1800 OLED screen, with an impressive 120Hz refresh rate, is definitely my favorite feature. And with an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H and Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 under the hood, plus 16GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD storage, it has more than enough oomph to make use of that display in the latest games.
That said, it’s not quite as powerful as some full-purpose gaming laptops, and the battery life is mediocre at best. You can read PCWorld’s review of it here. But with plenty of connectivity and the option to upgrade the storage (but not the RAM), it’d be a great choice if you want a standard work or student laptop with some extra gaming power. At such a huge discount off the retail price, it’s going to be a great competitor for anything else at around the $1,000 mark.
B&H isn’t showing this as a limited-time deal like some of its best sales, so it could stick around for a while. But deals on gaming laptops (or any laptops with decent GPUs) tend to move quickly, so I’d recommend getting your order in pronto if you’re going to buy it.
