Elastic Partner Program: Supporting customers by investing in our partner ecosystem

As an open source company, we like to say our team extends beyond our employee base — and that’s especially true when it comes to our partners.  Partners are an active part of our vibrant community, and it’s through their success that our users accomplish more: more with Elastic solutions, more successful business outcomes, and more geographic scale around the world.  We’ve made some changes to the Elastic Partner Program to drive deeper alignment and growth with the partners that our customers find most strategic to their business. These changes include an updated partner engagement model, new agreements and requirements, and enhanced benefits. Our goal for these changes isn’t to have the largest partner ecosystem, but to have the best, most impactful partnerships that provide the right solutions and services for our customers. Our ecosystem thrives when our partners are able to build successful businesses around Elastic, and it’s my team’s goal to provide partners with the best service and support on this journey.  First, sticking to our open source philosophy, we provide anyone with free and open foundational tools and processes to go to market with Elastic. In addition to that commitment, we are putting special emphasis on (as well as providing additional benefits to) partners that make a significant commitment to our joint collaboration. To that end, our program refresh focuses on four key areas:

Simplicity: Get started quickly and easily with resource and process enhancements. Access simplified agreements and new program resources on a refreshed Elastic Partner Portal (partner login is required; you can request access here). 
Scale: Grow your partner business with free enablement and tools. Participate in new partner sales and technical sales training, achieve partner accreditations, and access a partner demo environment on a new learning management system called Elastic Partner Academy. 
Transparency: Know where your partnership stands with program visibility, business planning, and compliance sessions. Track your Elastic business with a new partner scorecard that displays monthly program metrics.
Commitment: Receive enhanced benefits, resources, and engagement relevant to your success. Take advantage of new program levels (Elite, Premier, and Select) that provide relative self-service and dedicated engagement models, incentives, and discounts. 

According to recent industry analyst reports, there's a potential $75 billion total addressable market that spans across Elastic products and solutions. We’d like to help our partners capture a significant portion of that opportunity in a way that works for them.  For some, that means referring leads and letting us do the heavy lifting. Others want to resell our subscriptions, build a services and consulting business around Elastic solutions, provide hardware to support infrastructure, or develop custom technology powered by the Elastic Stack. We’re flexible so our partners can win in the market.  Because when our partners win, our customers do, too.
