The winter solstice is upon us, which means that Christmas is next up — and that the clock for timely gift-giving is nearly expired. Thankfully, you don’t have to spend hundreds of dollars to get a gift for someone that has all the cachet of a brand they know and love.

These are some of our favorites, but remember: you can often find alternatives that are just as good (and sometimes better) than these.
