HISTORY ASPECTS:The Boulton Paul Defiant was a British fighter aircraft that was introduced in the late 1930s. It was a unique design in that it was equipped with a turret-mounted gun instead of the traditional forward-facing guns of other fighter aircraft of the time.During the early years of World War II the Defiant was used in a number of key battles and campaigns including the Battle of Britain. However it quickly became apparent that the aircraft was not well-suited for dogfighting and was vulnerable to attacks from enemy fighters.Despite its shortcomings the Defiant continued to be used in various roles throughout the war including as a night fighter and in the defense of key strategic targets. It was eventually retired from service in 1942 but it remains a fascinating example of British engineering and innovation during the early years of World War II.The 1:72 scale model of the Boulton Paul Defiant is a beautiful reproduction of this iconic aircraft. It features authentic markings colors decorated in black with humorous and colorful shark toothe
