It was designed by the Nakajima company and was primarily used by the Imperial Japanese Army Air Service (IJAAS). The Ki-43 was known for its speed maneuverability and powerful armament.The Ki-43 piloted by the 50th Group 2nd Squadron was deployed in the Pacific theater where it saw extensive action in 1942. The aircraft was used primarily in air-to-air combat and ground attack missions and it was known for its ability to operate in challenging conditions.
