Tascam DR-10X Black

Compact micro-linear PCM recorder for plug-on XLR connection that allows it to be simply attached to a dynamic or battery-powered condenser microphone with XLR output. A captive XLR connector attaches firmly to the microphone, capturing interviews at 48kHz/24-bit broadcast WAV resolution. The recordings can be offloaded through the microUSB connection or by removing the microSD card. The recorder has both manual and automatic gain settings, with a low cut filter and limiter to prevent overloads. The Dual Recording mode captures a copy of the audio at a lower level, so if there is distortion it provides a backup safety. Recording can begin instantly by holding the record side switch while turning the unit on. Other features include the sliding record switch and hold function that prevent mi soperation during recording, High/Mid/Low recording level settings, automatic level function, or playback function that allows recorded date to be checks immediately. With a built-in clock function it supports BWF files that can have time information added, which is convenient for editing and searching, while the time track incrementing function can create new files at regular intervals (every 15 minutes) during recording. The recorder also provides a headphone output, a locking mechanism that assures a tight connection with the microphone body, an easy-to-read organic EL display or a micro USB B port that enables easy data exchange with computers. It records at least 10 hours on a single AAA battery by using alkaline batteries (EVOLTA). Firmware can be updated using a microSD card. Dimensions: 52 x 94.4 x 28 mm.
