The Ki-61 Hien was primarily used by the Imperial Japanese Army Air Service (IJAAS) and was deployed in the Pacific theater where it saw extensive action. The Ki-61 Hien piloted by 244th Flight Regiment was deployed in the Pacific theater where it was used in a variety of roles including air-to-air combat ground attack and reconnaissance. It was known for its speed maneuverability and powerful armament and it was considered to be one of the best fighters used by the IJAAS.Despite its capabilities the Ki-61 Hien was outmatched by newer more advanced Allied fighters and it was gradually phased out of service as the war progressed. Despite this it was still used in combat until the end of the war and a number of Ki-61 Hien aircraft were captured by the Allies and were used for testing. In conclusion The Kawa
