I want to love SoFi so much, and i have a small position (which is still appreciable in the black) and an account there, but I'm rapidly losing faith that they will become the "Amazon of finance" like I've heard so many times before. The customer experience is mediocre, they send me emails that look and feel like spam, and ice given applying for a personal loan through them and it all feel very rocket mortgage-y. It is, at current, still not making money, and seems to do everything all at once but doesn't feel like it does anything particularly well.
I'll confess, I'm big on investing in companies I use, and SoFi isn't a fun bank to use. I'm not sure I'm in love with the stock, however i feel like I'm the only person that isn't.
