If you’ve ever accidentally closed File Explorer in the middle of digging through several folders across multiple tabs, you know how annoying that can be. Well, you won’t have to worry about that anymore soon.
A few days ago, Microsoft released a new preview build for Windows 11 Insiders on the Beta Channel (spotted by Windows Latest), which includes several improvements. But the one that sticks out is File Explorer’s new ability to remember your tabs.

Now, when you tick the “Restore previous folder windows at logon” option in File Explorer’s settings, it will remember all your opened tabs and restore them when you log back into Windows.
This new feature is currently only available in Windows 11’s Beta update KB5046733 (also known as Build 22635.4580). It remains to be seen when this new feature will be rolled out to all Windows 11 users.
