Yak wool was used by nomads in the Himalayas to make clothes, tents, ropes and blankets. At present, this fiber has potential when used in the production of luxury clothing. The yak wool in some parameters surpasses sheep's wool. It is warmer than merino, its softness is equal to cashmere and, thanks to its antibacterial properties, it reduces body odor.
