Symfony 5.3.0 has just been released. As for any other Symfony minor release, our backward compatibility promise applies and this means that you should be able to upgrade easily without changing anything in your code.

This week, Symfony 5.3 made the last tweaks and fixes before its final release. Meanwhile, the upcoming Symfony 6.0 version started working on removing legacy code and adding PHP types across the entire codebase. Lastly, Symfony announced a new SymfonyWorld Online Winter Edition conference (December 9-10) which will complement the imminent SymfonyWorld Online Summer Edition on June 17-18.

Unfortunately, we sadly announced the cancellation of SymfonyCon Disneyland Paris 2021. As we are really eager to meet with the wonderful Symfony community later this year again, we are thus very pleased to announce the 3rd edition of the SymfonyWorld online conference on December 9-10 2021, we'll celebrate the release of Symfony 6!
We really want to meet with the Symfony community in real life events but as the sanitary situation is still too uncertain, we decided to meet again online
Unfortunately, after postponing the organization of SymfonyCon Disneyland Paris 2020 to 2021, we are very sorry to announce that we are canceling the international Symfony conference scheduled next December 2-3rd 2021.
As the entire world is still not yet recovering from the COVID-19 situation and some countries are still strongly facing this pandemic due to the rising of COVID variants from all over the world, we unfortunately took this time the very hard decision to cancel SymfonyCon Disneyla
This week, Symfony 3.4.49, 4.4.24 and 5.2.9 maintenance versions were released. In addition, the first Release Candidate of Symfony 5.3.0 was published in preparation for its final release at the end of this month. Lastly, the SymfonyWorld 2021 conference (June 17-18) announced more keynotes and more talks.

Symfony forms render their fields in the same order that you define them. This might cause issues when adding/removing fields dynamically in complex forms (e.g. a field added via form events can end up being rendered after the form submit button). That’s why in Symfony 5.3 you can sort form fields to control the order in which they are rendered.
