[ESP][TECH][7]Seeking business cofounder in audio hardware project.

Hi All, We have developed a technology in the field of consumer audio devices which brings a new method of delivering sound. This technology brings physical surround sound to headphones, it's low-cost, lightweight and comfortable. Several patents have been granted. We are currently two cofounders located in Madrid and Shanghai, China (for production). Both me and my partner are tech/operation people, so we are seeking a business cofounder in Spain (or in EU) to complete the team. ​ Where are we at? The least thing I wanna do is to waste anybody's time, so let us be real frank here first. This is a very early stage project: patents and other intellectual properties have been acquired; a technological proof-of-concept has been made. This is currently funded by ourselves and I'm working full-time on this. We have a business entity (a company) in China, with a factory of 6000 m2 production site (currently manufacturing optical components but can shift to electronics at any time). We plan to incorporate a new company here in Spain. At this moment we cannot provide any salary. ​ Product and market: Let me talk very roughly about what's on my mind here: Scenario 1: You are lying in bed, you are trying to escape from the reality for a short while before sleep. So you put on our headphone which feels no different from your regular sleep masks, soft and comfortable. Your favorite audiobook starts to play, say the Under the Dome by Stephen King. With the sound of siren coming from afar, the truck's air horn flooding towards you... you feel like standing right there inside the small town of Chester's Mill. Our first envisioned product would be a comfort headphone with no rigid parts over the ears (nor in-ear) for consuming audiobooks and podcasts. Market has observed a 35 percent growth in audiobooks and 30 percent in podcast in 2020. Audiobooks and podcasts are outgrowing their “niche” status to emerge as substantive markets in their own right (Deloitte Insight), more than 50 percent of the audiobook/podcast listeners consume such content before sleep. Scenario 2: You are a VR gamer, floating in a fantasy world, crawling through muddy dungeons, shooting up undead with your 12 gauge. Your thin, light VR headset is equipped with our audio technology, there is nothing in your ears, there is no bulky headset hanging on your head. The spatial sound is authentic that you can pinpoint source of sound up to 2 degree accuracy. I don't even have to explain anything about VR or gaming markets. I just wanna say that while giants are focusing on making lighter, thinner and overall visually better VR headsets, the development of VR audio remains sluggish. Our technology promises a 5.1/7.1 sound system on your head that is lighter than most gaming headsets without bulky ear-covers. ​ About you: We are looking for a business cofounder who can work on the business aspects of the project, financial models, marketing, fundraising incentives etc. I know the fact that techie-seeking-biz is quite strange here, but I believe building a business per se is a professional's job, it requires a whole set of skills that I don't possess. The ideal figure in my mind is a passionate, energetic and durable person, who is familiar with the startup ecosystem here in Spain/EU. Ideally you are here in Spain too so we can work together in person from time to time, I believe in this project, so we probably gonna work together for quite some years, and there will be cheers and bumps. I think it's better to know each other on a personal level since the beginning. I don't really care if you have any experience or any resource at hand. From my past (failed) startup experience, it is more important to work with someone who we share the same view other than someone who is good at the job but "difficult" to work with. ​ About us: I'm a computer scientist with a PhD in artificial intelligence. I worked as an independent data science / AI consultant for various research projects and businesses. I'm a very down-to-earth and energetic person, may seem a bit over-energized sometimes, I'm passionate about creating things, anything. I'm now working full-time on this project.
