Hello. I'm looking to develop a startup focused on incorporating AI with existing unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) drone technology. This has a wide variety of real world applications: agriculture monitoring, surveillance for security purposes (civilian and military), natural disaster prevention (monitoring conditions of high voltage power lines or other critical infrastructure), etc. Drones are also the future of warfare. While drones such a quadcopters have gotten considerably cheaper in the last decade, they could be used more effectively with task-focused AI that would alleviate the need for constant operator focus and could locate/track things that an operator could otherwise miss. Criticism I've already received is that this type of product (drones + AI) is already within the domain of tech giants like Lockheed Martin. However, there are multiple new startups also involved in this. One notable startup is Anduril (valuation over $4 billion) which was founded 4 years ago and recently won a contract with U.S. Customs and Border Protection. I would love to chat with people who have expertise or interest in the subject. Ideally I would bring 2 people on board (on an equal basis): one with coding expertise and the other with mechanical engineering expertise. I am based in California and have previously worked in financial and legal sectors. Recently I got into tech. I'm still at an early stage with this startup. All I've done is register a company and create a website. My next goal is to create a working prototype and to then reach out to potential investors. DM me and let's chat! Have a good weekend and I hope to hear from you soon. submitted by /u/CA_D [link] [comments] https://www.reddit.com/r/cofounder/comments/ncoxrk/usacatech1_seeking_cofounders_for_ai_drone_startup/
