[USA-MO][BIZ][12] Seeking a cofounder for a service marketplace.

I'm looking for a cofounder to join in on a project I'm finally starting on. I come with an extensive background in business, design and marketing, as well as just enough technical knowledge to be dangerous. I'm actively building out the MVP myself, but am looking for somebody enthusiastic that can take over an area of the project to free me up to focus on the other. I'm flexible on what exactly this looks like, but I know there will be a need for somebody with a bit more technical prowess. PHP, SQL, etc at some point. I would absolutely not be opposed to somebody that is excited about a project like this but would prefer to handle the marketing side of things. I personally know how much I would benefit from sharing the load, regardless of structure or role, and that is my primary goal here.

The project is meant to be a design/development marketplace, where someone can post projects and others can choose to bid on them. The idea is that project communication and payments take place on the platform, and the platform takes a cut for the convenience.

Platforms like this absolutely do exist, but the vast majority of them are a race to the bottom on pricing, making for an unpleasant experience for both parties. My hope for this platform is to slightly raise the bar for designer/developer quality, while also making it a safer platform for the designers and creatives that choose to use it, likely though human mediation if or as needed. The goal is to not let the original posters hold all of the power in the relationship, which is currently the case on competing platforms.

I am located in Kansas City and would absolutely love somebody local, but obviously that isn't a requirement. I am willing to fund what is needed for the project itself. If any of this is of interest to you feel free to reach out. Thanks for reading.
