About me: Early 30s - Engineering background. Had a successful business that I sold when I was 28 for a couple of millions, nothing crazy. Went traveling after 29 and looking to set up a new business.
In the past 3 months, I've decided that I want to scale up my cost of living so I need to generate more income, I also would like to make some large purchases in the next 5-10 years so I am motivated to start a new business.
I did set up 1 business in the past 3 months, that started generating around $5k/month profit in the past 3 months but then got distracted with starting a youtube channel and I just work much better with a partner than alone. Alone, I get distracted with new ideas and don't focus on scaling or get bored with managing after the business starts generating profits.
I am living in a foreign country because of family where I don't speak the language so I come online to network.
What I am looking for: You are not currently an employee - I just haven't had good experiences working with people who have jobs but I am open to being wrong. If you are a freelancer/small business owner that is not quite there yet. I am pretty confident that I can develop a business to generate $5k/m profit but after that businesses usually need scaling (employees, taxes, tech support etc -> this is why I need a partner -> to help with managing the process as it grows).
For the most part, you are just motivated and have some skills (sales/engineering or have deep understanding of some industry) and want to brainstorm a new business that we can do together. I have a strong preference for tech related (even as simple as an agency) - I can handle business/sales and basic dev work but if you're also also a business/sales guy then we can outsource the work. I just really want a motivated business partner. Not looking for developers who think developing is a business skill - I can code ok myself and most of the time, I just outsource this work to some guys that I work with in South Asia.
Not looking for someone that wants to do some cutting edge software/innovative anything. I am mostly interested in outsourcing services/goods that are boring and just need a bit of sales/marketing. Not looking to scale up to a billion dollar company, just a modest $30k/profit business.
Again, not looking to babysit anyone. I plan on working 8-10 hours a day on this - I also am a huge fan of division of labour. You and I have different responsibilities - I meet my goals and you meet yours. We shouldn't have to remind each other about deadlines, etc (not a crazy person lol but I have met a few people who think they can start a $10k/month profit business by just doing 30 minutes of work after their 10 hour full time job)
