Back in 2023, Logitech teamed up with iFixit to bring us the Logitech Repair Hub, an official resource of repair guides and spare parts for the company’s products. The hub first launched with support for just two items: the MX Master and MX Anywhere mice.
Today, the company has expanded the Logitech Repair Hub with many more products, now totaling 21 products. On top of the previous MX devices, there are now repair guides and spare parts for some G series mice, G series headsets, and the Zone Learn headset.
The idea behind the Logitech Repair Hub is to make it easier for users to repair their own products and make them last longer.
“Our products are designed for exceptional quality and durability. Repairability further extends their lifespan and improves value and customer satisfaction,” said Logitech’s chief operating officer, Parkash Arunkundrum, in a press release.
“We are very excited to exist in a world where companies like Logitech distinguish themselves through the repairability of their products,” said iFixit’s Matt Zieminski in the same press release.
Repairability has long been an important point for the improved eco-friendliness of laptops and other devices that are prone to becoming e-waste, but it’s just as important for peripherals and accessories. It’s great to see a company stand by their products and lean more into repairability instead of opting for planned obsolescence.
