Hello World! I'm the (technical) founder of Beam, a visual gym assistant and I’m looking to set up a team focused on improving the product/business. I'm open to working with anyone/anywhere however if you’re located in the EU /US this is a bonus. Problem The level of support in gyms is little to none. If you need help, you’d need to hire a personal trainer and they charge on average, the same amount you’d spend for a month’s membership for just an hour of their time. Another option includes finding someone to help you in the gym be it a stranger/friend and even then, it’s not guaranteed that they can provide the help/support you need. Although videos and blog articles try to provide as much information, they tend to be hard to use in the gym as it takes away your focus. Fitness apps require a lot of manual input which tends to be even more distracting. Solution A mobile app that uses a camera and machine learning to empower fitness enthusiasts. With the visual gym assistant people can: Get personalized exercises based on the fitness equipment in front of/around them (visual search) Log workouts by doing what they love most: recording video logs of themselves (pose estimation) Get feedback on how to improve their exercise form Currently So far I’ve released a beta version of the visual search feature and working towards an official AppStore release in June; no plans for an Android release just yet. Currently focused on onboarding gyms and fitness professionals and getting to PMF. The main goal for the product is using ML/AI to do the mental heavy lifting while people can focus on the physical when performing exercises. Been working solo but I’m looking to work with technical founders mainly interested in machine learning but any other expertise is equally welcomed. Also looking for sales/biz dev co-founders with interests in selling AI-related products. Also looking for a cofounder with graphic design experience to bring an artistic touch to the product. The role I’m mainly technical and I’ve got experience with fitness so I’m well aware of the pain points really looking for someone from a sales and graphic design background who’s got experience with fitness as well. Technical co-founders with fitness experience would be a massive bonus as well, no matter what part of Earth you’re on. What I'm looking for: Getting initial customers and PMF Equal co-founders - let's hone the roadmap, bounce ideas, and share in the start-up life together Swift/ Objc - As the app is iOS only, we’ll be mainly working with Swift. Also, I’ve got some great ideas in the works with Apple products. Experience/interest in Python is also desired.
