Me: I’m a VP Product and UX for a late stage B2C startup. Previous startup failure experience and I’ve certainly learned some expensive lessons. Engineering degree but not a software engineer. Looking for Tech, Design, and Marketing co-founders. Concept: Pref is the user preferences app for the real world. All of us have preferences that define us. When those preferences are not respected, or requested, we don’t feel comfortable. Hospitality businesses want to know those preferences, to provide us with better service, and do it more profitably. Our friends and family want to know our preferences when we come over. Next time you walk into a restaurant, your choice of still, sparkling, or tap will already be on the table. The server will write down your order and not try to memorize it. Your french fries will come with a side of mayo and your martini will be served dry, with a lemon twist. When you check into your hotel, you will have a room on a floor with the other late sleepers, and under no circumstances will housekeeping attempt to clean your room before noon. Apple chargers will already be plugged in next to the desk, for your laptop, and on the right side of the bed, for your phone. Your room will have blackout shades and the temperature will be 68 degrees. All of these things will be possible because you will have shared these preferences with these hospitality venues. You will document these preferences once, in the Pref app, and retain total control over that data. Pref is also great for people who are differently abled, who have cultural or religious specific preferences or needs, or who are pregnant or have other temporary needs. They deserve to be as comfortable, and feel as catered to, as anyone. For the younger generation, personal preferences about hospitality are just some of the details that make up a unique personal aesthetic. Pref is great for that too-- define all your preferences about your style, fashion, music, and more, to show off all the quirky things that make you special.
