I am looking to create a spin-off business to my 13-year old successful e-commerce marketplace company. We sell genuine branded clothing and footwear merchandise via eBay and Amazon and our annual turnover is over £400K per year. We are based in a small warehouse and offices just outside of Portsmouth, UK. Whilst I have been successful in selling via existing marketplaces I want to startup a new side-business selling via a standalone website direct to UK customers. The main reason is that selling on channels like Amazon and Ebay is hyper-competitive and it's generally a race to the bottom in regards to pricing. In addition the high selling fees charged by Amazon and Ebay can really thin out the margins. I'm confident a spin-off business selling via our own website can be extremely lucrative. I have over a decade experience in sourcing and knowing what products and brands sell. I am looking for: A partner to take-on the development of the website and responsiblity of growing our social media presence. Someone who has experience in ecommerce website development, growing traffic and selling. Ideally someone who is based in the southern half of the UK so we can meet-up from time to time or more often if closer. What I can offer: At no cost to the new business, we can utilise our existing infrastructure of warehousing and office space. You can come into the office and use desk space if required. Wholesale accounts to source genuine branded stock. We have access to a huge range of branded clothing and footwear at amazing wholesale pricing as we can commit to large purchase orders. Existing shipping business accounts with Royal Mail, DPD, Hermes etc. (cheaper pricing than retail). Multi-Channel fulfilment software (Currently Linnworks) Access to our current VA's to assist with data related work, at no extra cost. I can fund/seed stock purchase to get things started!
