[Meta] Vote: Allowing URL's to specific domains?

As you all know links are currently banned from this sub because of the spam issue that creates. But I'm not a fan of this need, honestly, and want to whitelist some external links so people can link to them. I think its insane that because of spam we cant support links, but banning links has been our only defense against a lot of it. So if we did allow links to external domains, What domains should be whitelisted and why? Please note that links will still be removed by the automation; so feel free to send me the link directly and explain why if that works better.
