Hi :) I'm one of those annoying computer-obsessed people and a digital nomad. My last 2.5 years have been spent working on automatic machine learning, building a fully open source product that's got 5M+ in funding and is racing to raise more (Mindsdb) Anyway, now that the hectic early stages of that are done~ish I'm looking for a side gig, with the possibility of developing into the main focus, but that'd be months/years down the road, and my thinking is based on 2-week chunks of time. I'd like to find someone that's rather good at sales, especially in the online space, especially in the "order slightly custom gear from Chinese manufacturers for a niche US/EU demographic and sell at 5x the cost" space (is there a shorter name for that?) My current thinking is that online marketing is outdated and that with the current level of tech in machine learning ("AI") you basically get tons of free advertising with the correct algorithm. The idea here would be to try and apply these techniques to a "prototype" e-commerce business we create and based on that validation try to sell it to other businesses. I have enough money to fund the venture in terms of servers, inventory, paying a lwayer&accountnat to incorporate, etc. But I'm not looking for someone that wants to do salaried work, I'm looking for a partner that has the means of surviving while growing this business and that's interested in a 50/50 equity split. submitted by /u/elcric_krej [link] [comments] https://www.reddit.com/r/cofounder/comments/nu7oxa/fintech6_looking_for_someone_thats_good_at_selling/
