Problem: Many researchers need to process complex data, but most of them cannot do programming, and this causes their data analyzing and processing many troubles; Currently there is no online method for researchers to process data online together (for example, you process part of the data and I take over the rest, and the third guy can review our works and make some modifications), and this is what I called as data-driven communication: not just words and talks, but actually communicate with their research data. Project: The app, I called it as Seed, is currently designed as a web app. For researchers, the major data processing functions they need are statistics and image processing. Data processing functions are broken down into smaller pieces (this is our work), and instead of programming, researchers can pick the pieces they want and combine together to get the functions they want. The selection of functional pieces is very similar to downloading apps from app store, while the combination is like playing Lego. Researchers download the functional pieces to their local computers, and process data locally. When A processes part of the data, and wants to send the data to B to continue, end-to-end encryption will be used, and our server will not store any data in plaintext. When a research team is working on the same data together, the app server simply reflects each member's actions to others, and will not get access to the data. There are still many improvements and new functions, such as more social features, but currently it seems already a lot of work. Where are we now: We have a very good start, and currently there are six members in the team. We already have two patents in China, and both of them are about the securely store and read of data based on authorization and encryption. We also have a very simple demo, but may not be as good as MVP, and we need more ideas to be contributed to get a better design. We would like to get funding after a satisfied MVP was released online. Who are we expecting: We are looking for cofounders. Basically all tech guys are welcomed, and now a UI spot is really not filled in the team. Before the MVP is released, we are all involving this project part-time, about 20 hours a week. Thank you for the patience to read here, and hopefully we can make a little bit change to the world together. submitted by /u/WTHealth [link] [comments] https://www.reddit.com/r/cofounder/comments/o5hs16/chnbiz1_looking_for_ui_cofounder_to_build_a_data/
