Hey all, I'm a MIT alum (based in New York) who runs a tech startup in the social/community space. Our product uses a custom tech platform and proprietary algorithms to give users curated social experiences that help them meet their people, create a community, and find new experiences IRL. In a nutshell, you should always be able to meet fun new people who share your interests and find new experiences to do with them, and we've created a pretty robust product that facilitates that. We currently run operations in 36 cities but are ramping up a much more ambitious product/social ecosystem that we intend to launch in the fall, and are starting our search for potential CTOs to help us manage and grow our technical operations. Our team includes an experienced operations team, a full team of remote developers, MIT interns, and part-time employees in most major cities. The new product is nearly complete and will be released as both a web app and mobile app this fall. What we look for in a CTO: Significant experience as a lead developer at VC-backed startups AND/OR experience with an established tech company Significant experience managing or leading a team of developers Significant experience with algorithm design & implementation Highly competent developer with solid educational background Interested in community and social events VC connections are a plus but not required Preferably in the U.S. and more precisely, New York Here's what we bring: A highly skilled remote dev team with mobile and web experience A sufficiently complex and complete algorithm designed by MIT grads & students Cofounder with experience in social/experience space (built 7 figure business) Strong ops team with experience running profitable national events business. If you think you are a good fit for the role described above, please shoot me a PM. I am open to discussions about equity or any other preferences you may have. submitted by /u/BetterOffChris [link] [comments] https://www.reddit.com/r/cofounder/comments/ouki55/usabiz10_mit_alum_seeking_a_technical_cofounder/
