About me I'm an experienced coder and entrepreneur with 15+ years coding experience. I've started a digital agency business (now closed down) and two startups (one sold, one shut down). We are looking for a self-motivated, formidable, investible growth hacker/marketer to help us take our exciting low-code software platform to market. I started work on RailsRocket in January 2021. I've applied to YC Winter 22 batch after getting through to interview stage in the previous YC batch. We have an MVP and have started to onboard some early customers. It is an inherently democratising technology making previously inaccessible software projects accessible to a wider range of people and businesses. About RailsRocket RailsRocket is a no-code app builder that creates real Ruby on Rails code-based apps with a built in marketplace of developers. About you We are looking for a proven successful growth marketer to own and build out our marketing function. Someone who's happy getting their hands dirty taking us from 0 to 1, with a complementary skill set to the founder's strong technical and product skills. Desired Experience Excellent communication and writing skills Social media marketing Content marketing SEO & Analytics Design Copywriting Customer development Product led growth Main Responsibilities Understanding and talking fluently about the no-code space and about RailsRocket's offer Defining and executing on growth strategies Finding, onboarding and communicating with our first customers (manually at first) Scaling inbound customer acquisition through various growth channels Building a strong social media presence Content ideation, production and scheduling Bootstrapping the marketplace Sourcing and managing designers and writers Developing and running analytics on our content and products Developing user personas Other responsibilities As we're a startup you'll need to be comfortable getting stuck into whatever needs doing at the time. We'll likely need help with product management, managing developers, fundraising, even writing code if necessary. We hope you have some experience of the customer development methodology or willingness to learn it. Location Remote, ideally in Europe for timezone reasons. Current founder is based in London.
