Overview: I'm a 29 year old digital marketing/sales professional looking to team up with someone technical to start a new gaming social/content platform. I'm located in the US (in Ohio), and hoping to work with someone else in the US. The Company: The idea for this company comes out of my personal experiences as a gamer over the last 15 years. As the gaming industry has evolved and grown over the last few years, I believe there's room for a new platform that makes gaming better for all types of gamers. Through game APIs, user-generated content, and content from partnering with content-creators and professional players, this platform would provide gamers with content from a variety of sources to either help them get better even just entertain them. This is still in the business plan/idea stage, but I'd like to team up with someone to flesh out the idea, get feedback, and iterate from there before wire framing and building the actual platform. About Me: I'm in a leadership role at a 75 person ecommerce ad agency where I'm in charge of strategy and sales for our company, but also heavily involved in hiring/resourcing. My background is in paid media strategy and execution, with a specific focus on paid search (traditional search platforms like Google and Bing, as well as newer platforms like Amazon and other e-retailer PPC platforms). Outside of work, I love gaming, and the idea for this platform stems from the gaps I've identified as a guy who wants to continue to be a gamer while having a job, wife, owning a house, etc. About You: I'm looking for a technical cofounder that is looking for something to start on the side with hopes of it eventually becoming a big enough thing to go full-time on. The person I partner with doesn't necessarily need to be the person doing the coding - if we decide it makes more sense for us to outsource the actual development (or some of it), that's fine with me. Basically we'd oversee the product together, you would oversee the technical side, and I would oversee sales/marketing. Being a gamer isn't 100% necessary, but I think that having some passion for gaming would make this a more fun venture for whoever joins me in this. -- If you're at all interested, shoot me a message and we can chat.
