Federal Reserve has boosted latest GDP projection for 3Q to a booming 4.1%!

While many economic forecasters expected a recession to begin early 2023, what we got instead was a robust continuation of the recovery post-Covid after a sluggish 2022. Last year we saw two quarters of negative GDP, often cited as a simple test for a "technical recession".

However, 2023 was a different story. 1Q real GDP was 2.0% and 2Q was 2.4%. Now the Fed's latest GDPNow estimate for 3Q is at a whopping 4.1% due to increasing

FMC Outlook After Recent Drop

Over the past month FMC's stock has seen some fluctuations. The stock opened at $105.27 on July 1st and closed at $91.49 yesterday.

FMC fell sharply after the company released its latest financial report. Despite the recent drop, FMC Corporation has a long standing history and a significant presence in the agricultural sciences sector. Their assets and revenues are substantial, indicating a strong financial position.

Target Price Estima

What is a good strategy to follow when selling a stock while you are down?

I used to work at company C, and they gave me a lot of stock. And some I bought in the form of Employee Share Purchase Program.
Anyways, while I was there, stock was doing great - I kept holding it like the dumbass that I am. Lo and be hold, stock now is 1/3 of where it used to be.
I do not have trust in this company, nor do I think they will do well in the future.
What do I do with this stock? Should I just sell it all at once so I can sleep bett

Have a fidelity account I don’t put money in but has some stocks….

So I’ve had a fidelity account for a decade plus. It’s a secondary account i set up and why I can’t remember. Anyways, there’s about 400 shares of apple and some other odds and ends. I don’t ever add funds to the account. It has about $70,000 total in it. My real account is an ME account that I invest with. Has about $260k in it. It has about 400 additional shares of apple In it. My question is, why shouldn’t I close the fidelity account and transfer it to ME? A

Roth IRA for daughter

My wife and i have our own Roths. I have an LLC that employs my daughter. I set up a roth for her. My question is, should i invest in an etf or two even if me or my wife are already investing in the same one? Considering these will be passed down to her upon our deaths, would it be beneficial to make sure its a diff selection, or just go ahead and dbl up on em. Like SPY in my account and SPY in hers.

Blackrock TCP Capital (TCPC)

Anybody here thought about getting into TCPC? I don’t really see it discussed here.. I recent read it’s Q2 earnings report and it looks promising to succeed in the environment with future rate increases expected. Also, as mentioned in the report, the blackrock name to back it up will allow it the power of that platform to help it. Hasn’t done as great as ARCC or MAIN in recovering but has the future growth to get back to pre-COVID levels

SOPA - any future? How long of a play?

I bought Society Pass (SOPA) not too long after its initial IPO. With an emerging Southeast Asian market, I always expected this would be a long-term play, but at this point it’s virtually worthless stock. Does anyone have any thoughts as how long to recoup my losses and possibly turn a profit? Also, it looks like recent guidance has it undervalued. Anyone have a SOPA position they are hanging on to or increasing shares in?

Anyone Looking At $SARK

Hey y’all, I just recently found this ETF and I’m thinking of going in. I’m pretty bearish on the market as a whole and with CPI coming out I think we will sell off. Does anyone hold any $SARK? Let me know. Thanks!

Is the great inflation just starting?

Americans are hanging on to a lot of cash compared to prepandemic. Since 2020, probably the most since 2006 and more spread out. GenX/Millennials are also entering their peak earning years. Absent housing, where does the money go? Or will it sit in accounts?

Housing will not be solved in the couple of years, I think.
