Ask HN: How do you improve your writing?

I've been writing more and more on Substack. I started with simple Haikus and just expanded with longer posts before settling into this mix of poetry, mental health and my software career.

I finally did this by letting go of my perfectionism but I don't want to let go of improvement.

Are you a someone who writes on your own blog? And do you have recommendations on where I can get feedback either by formally submitting posts for review or where I should share to elicit feedback?

Show HN: GitHub-assistant – Natural language questions from your GitHub data

Simon(sfarshid) and I spend a lot of time on GitHub. As data nerds we put together a quick tool to explore your repository’s data.

How it works:

- Data Loading: We use dlt to pull data (issues, PRs, commits, stars) from GitHub

- Semantic Layer: Relta wraps the underlying dataset into a semantic layer so the LLM doesn’t hallucinate.

- Text-to-SQL: A text-to-SQL agent transforms your plain-English question into a query using the semantic layer

- Generative Charts: assistant-ui dynami

Show HN: Get e-signatures & pay per signed doc

Woke up today with a 100-degree fever & found out Google is now our competitor.

Last week, we started building signwith.co/ - a simple, pay-per-use e-signature tool for people who are struggling with complex e-sign tools.

The plan was to build quietly, run a private beta, get 50 users in 15 days, and then do a launch. Easy peasy.

But since Google dropped into the e-signature space - we needed to talk.

So after 30 minutes of existential dread, a lot of “what are we even doing?” though

Safeguarding Artistic Expression in the Age of AI
