I wonder if these drugs become popular enough, could they have a bigger impact on big food and beverage chains DPZ, QSR, MCD, PEP, KO, etc.?
Let me preface this by saying that I'm new to investing, and I'm still in the process of learning.
A couple days ago, the value of my LAC stock was around $8,600. Today, its at $2,994 but I still have the same amount of shares. There's also no longer info for gain/loss or cost basis, or option to view details - it's all grayed out.
I'm aware that the company split, so is this just a temporary thing?
I've gone over a dozen articles about this on Google and not a single one mentions the hours.
Is it just pre-market and aftermarket hours? Or is it 24/7 if there's someone available to fill it immediately because it's considered an immediate order or cancel?
What about Fill or kill is there any difference on the hours?
Thanks
Hello, I just recently invested in stocks for the first time and have questions about how stock shares affect taxes
Say I buy a share for $1 and then the share becomes worth $1,000,000.
If I don’t sell it/don’t touch it will it not affect taxable income?
Because I haven’t sold it, which means I haven’t made any money, it won’t count as me making $999,999 until I actually trade the share right?
And when traded will the $1 I originall
I'm American. My wife and I live in Korea. We have adequate trip funds in our bank in Korea. But it's in Korean Won, which like most currencies is weak compared to USD. To finance our two month vacation to the U.S. we have two options. A.) Exchange Korean Currency for USD (incurring fees along with a poor exchange rate) B.) I sell about $10 - $15k of my VTI/VXUS Index funds and have that USD directly deposited to my US Bank.
I lean toward Option A
LMT has gotten hammered over the past couple months because of news the company is gonna miss slightly on F-35 deliveries. Selling for a reasonable valuation of 14 times for a secular company that isn't gonna be growing at a high rate but whose clients are extremely dependable. Decent share buyback and 3% dividend that eats up less than half FCF. Not much debt. From a technical aspect, seems to be hitting a 4-year support level at 395. Does this seem like a
Blackberr, Spin off
What is happening with the BB? Can somebody explain the situation for me like I am 5 years old? Why is it declining so much after news about spin-off?
Is it legal in America to split company into two, left the shareholders with the dying business and IPO with the new valuable one?
Can they decide that they will give us only for example 1 share per 100 blackberry shares?
Thank you

Job growth was stronger than expected in September, a sign that the U.S. economy is hanging tough despite higher interest rates, labor strife and dysfunction in Washington.
Nonfarm payrolls increased by 336,000 for the month, better than the Dow Jones consensus estimate for 170,000, the Labor Department said
